Active Schools Flag

Over the past month we have started to integrate some different activities across the school as we begin to dip our toe into the Active Schools Flag process. Junior Infants to 6th class have been taking part in the Active Breaks Challenge, in collaboration with Croke Park, to promote daily movement breaks in the classroom. The children have really enjoyed taking a virtual tour of Croke Park while completing a mix of different activities at various locations around the stadium. As well as this, 6th class have been trialling new running activities in place of their 1k a day and have been enjoying the variety of running over the course of the week compared to running the 1k every day.
